Rev. Henry Sheridan Patterson was someone who made many changes to the church. He made his mark, as can be seen from the many tributes of 'HSP' around the church, because he believed that previous alterations had been badly made. This booklet, which appears to be the only example, was discovered in the local history section of Bolton Museum.
